We specialize in "cabin weddings".  This offers you total privacy.  You will not feel rushed by the next group needing to enter the chapel.  There will be  plenty of room to dress and prepare.  You can hold your own reception right there in the cabin.  There will be plenty of room for your family and friends.

We also offer "riverside" ceremonies in a beautiful setting located on the Little Pigeon River right in Gatlinburg.  Rocking riverbed, splashing water, covered bridge – plenty of room.

We can organize your wedding, reserve your honeymoon cabin, and a larger cabin for your friends and family.  We have cabins large enough for you to have the wedding, reception, family and honeymoon all together.

Special requests are our specialty:  Gift baskets, rose petals, a rose bouquet awaiting your arrival in the honeymoon cabin, dinner for two prepared and brought to your cabin for you to enjoy in complete privacy, side by side massage with candles and music.  You tell us what you are dreaming of and we will try to help you make it happen.

My name is Alden Marshall (Rev. Dr.). I was born and raised in east Tennessee,  graduated from UT, Knoxville(BA,MSSW), Gordon-Conwell Seminary, Boston(M.Div.), Fuller Seminary, Los Angeles(D. Min.), pastored in Montreal, Toronto, and returned to pastor in this area. I taught social work at U. Va, Wise, Church History and Bible at TN Wesleyan College, sociology at Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN, and have hundreds of articles published on Christianity and culture. I am married with two children. I would just as gladly go on an 11 mile hike to Mt.LeConte (in any kind of weather) for your wedding or renewal as to go to your rental.  Thank you for your consideration.  

My name is Brian Tippit.  I’ve been preaching since I was 13 years old and I’m 42 now.  I am licensed and ordained and currently am working with the youth at a non-denominational church here in Sevierville, called The Gathering.  I have training in both marriage counseling and men’s ministry and have done about 4000 weddings.  I’d be happy to do yours.  I do a traditional Chrisitan Ceremony.  If you would like to speak with me before the ceremony – we can arrange that.  Or, I’ll just be there at the appointed time and perform your ceremony for you at the location of your choosing.

As of July 1985, no blood test is required in the State of Tennessee (if both parties are 18 or older). Regardless of age, proof of age is required. Certified birth certificate, driver license, or school records wil be acceptable. You do not have to be a resident of Sevier County or the State of Tennessee in order to be married here.

After last minute mishaps dealing  with important issues like venue and my minister, (I was dealing with another company at the time) Stony Brook Chalets was able to step in at the last minute and  make sure I had a beautiful wedding service. 

The location, minister, and mostly the willingness of the owners to go the extra mile for us with very little time  to spare was amazing.  The kindness and compassion of the owners was accompanied by the beautiful
cabin that was home away from home and a breathtaking view that made you forget needing that first cup of coffee.

For your wedding in Gatlinburg, we recommend Stony Brook Chalets wholeheartedly. Pam went way beyond the call of duty in helping us with our wedding plans. The catering was fantastic. The spread was great and there was more food than we expected. While we were at the ceremony, away from the chalet, the food was delivered to the chalet and presented so perfectly for our reception. We chose a wedding cake from Pam’s site and it was over-and-above our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. The florist recommended by Pam was a dream. The floral decorations and arrangements were wonderful and beyond what we had imagined. The day before the wedding, we met with the minister, Brian. Brian couldn’t do enough to make us feel very comfortable and at ease, this being a second wedding for both of us. We wrote our own vows and Brian captured our heartfelt sentiment during the ceremony. He answered every question we had no matter how trivial. Pam and Ed were the best. They went above and beyond everything we could have imagined – from every detail, answering the silliest questions, to just being there for the nervous bride. The chalets we rented for our family were fantastic, as always. With their tremendous help and assistance, our wedding was the best and it went off without a hitch.
