Chondola at Anakeesta

One of the best scenic chairlifts in Gatlinburg is the Chondola at Anakeesta. The name Chondola is a combination of chairlift and gondola. Anakeest has the only chairlift in the area that has both regular four-seat chairs as well as enclosed gondola cabins on the same cable. An admission ticket to Anakeesta includes unlimited rides on the Chondola all day long. As you ride up 600 feet in elevation on this chairlift, you'll soar over trees (and sometimes even wildlife!) while experiencing aerial views of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. At the top of the chairlift is the whimsical Firefly Village, which has scenic overlooks of the mountains, Vista Gardens, AnaVista observation tower, Treetop Skywalk, treehouse adventure courses, shops, restaurants, and much more.


SkyLift at Gatlinburg SkyPark


Gatlinburg SkyPark's Skylift was the first chairlift in Gatlinburg. This three-seat chairlift carries guests from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg up to the top of Crockett Mountain. When you reach the SkyPark at the top, you'll be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Smoky Mountains and downtown Gatlinburg from the SkyDeck. You'll also find the Gatlinburg SkyBridge, which is the longest pedestrian cable bridge on the continent. If you walk across it, you'll experience amazing views of the Smokies from 500 feet above Gatlinburg. Other things you'll enjoy include walking the SkyTrail and grabbing food and drinks from the SkyCenter.




Scenic Chairlift at Ober Mountain

Another great chairlift in Gatlinburg is the Scenic Chairlift at Ober Mountain. This chairlift leaves from Ober Mountains' mountaintop park and rises 779 feet in elevation. At 3,029 feet long, this is the longest chairlift of its kind not only in the Smoky Mountains but in the country! From this two-seat chairlift you'll see breathtaking views of Mt. LeConte and the Smoky Mountains. At the top of the lift, you can get off to take in the scenery from an overlook. There's also live Bluegrass music from the band Mountain Grass on Wednesdays through Sundays from May to November, so you can pause and unwind as you listen to music surrounded by great views.















Horizon Skyride at SkyLand Ranch


Skyland Ranch their Horizon Skyride from the main Parkway in Sevierville up to the top of SkyLand Ranch. You'll get amazing views of the area and of the Smoky Mountains. Once you reach the top, you can walk along Legacy Lookout which is 350 feet above the Parkway and lets you enjoy panoramic views of the Smoky Mountain area. Also at the top you can experience animal encounters with miniature cows, miniature donkeys, miniature horses, goats, and sheep. You can grab a bite to eat from the food barn or from a food truck in The Backyard at SkyLand Ranch, plus explore retail shops for souvenirs. Your kids will enjoy playing at the Buckaroo Playbarn and mining for gems, too.
