There is no better way to take advantage of everything Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains have to offer than by spending time outdoors. At Stony Brook Cabins, we provide our guests with the most amazing opportunities to take in the natural beauty of the mountains. When you stay in our cabins, you'll find that there are so many great ways to spend time outside. Here are 5 ways to enjoy the outdoors when you stay in our Gatlinburg cabins:
1. Relax on Your Deck
One of the best ways to spend your time outside is right on the deck at your cabin! Our Gatlinburg cabins have spacious decks that have everything you need to relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air. You can sip your morning cup of coffee from the comfort of a rocking chair, soak in a bubbling hot tub while admiring the mountain views, or have a cookout using your outdoor grill! It's also the perfect place to catch a Smoky Mountain sunrise or sunset.2. Go Fishing
Another great way to spend time outdoors is fishing. There are plenty of opportunities to go fishing near our Gatlinburg cabins. You can head to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is only a short drive away from all of our cabins and has about 2,900 miles of streams. Fishing is permitted year-round in the park! Perhaps one of the best ways to enjoy fishing though is to stay in one of our cabins close to a creek that lets you go trout fishing right in your backyard!3. Make S'mores Around the Fire
Many of our Gatlinburg cabins come with outdoor fire pits, which provide a great opportunity to make s'mores! Keep warm on the cool mountain nights as you gather around the fire and roast marshmallows, or just enjoy each other's company. You can even sing campfire songs or tell ghost stories!4. Go Hiking

Another amazing way to take in all the incredible outdoor sights of the Smoky Mountains is to go hiking! You can visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and see cascading waterfalls, wildflowers in the spring, or snow-covered mountains in the winter. Pack a few snacks with you to enjoy in one of the designated picnic areas in the park after your hike! We also have plenty of hiking opportunities at our Gatlinburg cabins, whether you want to take a stroll along a trail or go for a walk in the woods. You'll have the chance to see rushing mountain streams, creeks, wildlife and more!
