1. Ober Mountain
Ober Mountain is open all throughout the year, but you'll want to visit during the winter to get the ultimate snow experience! You only have a few weeks left to hit the slopes for a skiing and snowboarding adventure you won't want to miss. The slopes close in early to mid March, depending on the weather. This Gatlinburg attraction provides hours worth of fun in the snow! You can also go snow tubing, which is a thrilling experience that you should definitely try if you haven't before. While there are plenty of exciting things to do at Ober Mountain when the weather gets warmer, you'll still want to hit the slopes a few more times before they close!
2. Gatlinburg Space Needle
The Gatlinburg Space Needle provides panoramic views of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains from more than 400 feet in the air. In the winter, those views are even more spectacular. You'll have the chance to see a picture-perfect view of snow-covered mountains in the distance, and the city of Gatlinburg dusted with white. Of course, the views you'll get on the top of the observation tower are incredible throughout all the seasons, but there is something stunning about seeing it covered in a blanket of snow.3. Cades Cove

Cades Coves is one of the top places to visit during the winter. You'll be able to go on amazing winter hikes and see gorgeous scenery! Some of the best hiking trails in the Smoky Mountains are in the Cades Cove area, like Abrams Falls. When you hike Abrams Falls in the winter, you'll have the chance to see a 25-foot waterfall when it's frozen! If you don't feel like walking, you can drive Cades Cove Loop Road. The road is an 11-mile, one-loop road that circles the cove and lets you see the sights at a leisurely pace. Along the drive, you'll see historic home sites, mountain views and acres of fields that are beautiful in the winter. The road is open sunrise to sunset, weather permitting.
