Facebook recently announced something we've known for years: Gatlinburg is an amazing place to have your honeymoon! The world's biggest social network came up with a top 10 list of popular honeymoon destinations in the United States by tracking couples who got married in 2014 and seeing where they checked in away from home. After processing data from over one billion monthly active users, Facebook shared its findings online.
While Las Vegas, Key West, and five different Hawaiian islands took the first seven spots on the list, our favorite Smoky Mountain city came in eighth in the entire nation. Gatlinburg even beat New York City!
