With elevation at 6,643 feet, Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, guaranteeing you a 360-degree view of the mountains. On clear days, you will be able to see as far as 100 miles away. The walk to the observation tower is about 0.5 of a mile, but it is steep. The path is paved, making it easier for people to walk.
2. Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook
The Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook is a pull off area located on the Gatlinburg Bypass between the Gatlinburg Spur and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From this overlook, you will be able to see downtown Gatlinburg, along with the Great Smoky Mountains in the background.
