I cannot recommend Stony Brook Cabins enough - the rental was perfect for our weekend! We will hopefully be back in Gatlinburg in the future and will once again use Stony Brook Cabins.

We have been coming to Gatlinburg for 8 years every year for a dance convention and every year we have tried to find the perfect cabin for us. This year we landed at The Big Willow Retreat and it was amazingly perfect! There was so much room- we lost people sometimes! haha The house is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice! The kitchen was stocked so well there was never one thing we were looking for and we even found ways to use things we found there. haha We were a group of moms and daughters and there was so much space for kids to play and moms to hang out and not feel crowded! Plenty of bathrooms for getting ready! It’s definitely a fantastic group house- everything was WELL STOCKED! Our favorite was 3 coffee makers and a cabinet with a hundred coffee mugs in it! AMAZING!! We are already looking forward to booking again next year!!!

The cabin was very big and accommodated all 25 of us very easily. It was Spacious, clean, and beautiful, and our group had an amazing time with everything that was provided. If I had to critique anything about the Willow, it would be the location in comparison to Gatlinburg. It is in walking distance, but be ready to walk up and down a hill. We definitely got our leg workout in. But it was completely worth it! We will definitely use this cabin again next year.

This cabin was amazing. It was the perfect getaway for a multi-generational family of
35. We had plenty of room for everyone and lots of extra as well.
The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed to make Christmas dinner, even a cheese grater! We were worried we wouldn’t have enough seating area to eat together and that was NOT the case. There was plenty of table and counter space and more than enough room for us to all gather together in the living room.
With the game room upstairs and the theater room on the lower level, we had space for every one to play and do exactly what they wanted to do whether it was watching a movie, playing pool, or just quietly sitting on the cozy couches and talking.
It was clean and cozy, AND they decorated it for Christmas as well so we didn’t need to bring a tree.
The office staff was fantastic to work with and very kind. We 100% recommend this cabin and the property in general.

I come to Gatlingburg every year for my birthday and this was by far the best cabin experience I’ve ever had. The company was so responsive and everything was super clean. It’s so close to the walking strip it was easy to go back and fourth all weekend from the activities to the cabin. I can’t wait for next year

This cabin is packed with fun for the family. The kids space was amazing and we had an early Thanksgiving dinner that accommodated our cooking and eating together. Be prepared to see many bears. This made the trip even more exciting and we could walk downtown to access restaurants and stores. It's a great location.

Our group had the best time staying at this cabin! The host was super responsive & accommodating. This cabin is so welcoming and roomy- the pictures do not do it justice. We all loved the location, literally less than a 5 minute drive to the strip! With being super close to the city center, it was still so serene and felt like we were tucked away in the mountains. We did have two bear sightings, one made its way to the top deck but didn’t disturb us inside. Truly made the trip! After the weekend was over, we were all discussing our next trip back. Highly recommend booking with Stony Brook!

We had a group of 18 golfers that stayed at the Big Willow Retreat in September 2024. Everyone absolutely loved the cabin! Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, large kitchen, dining area for all 18 of us. We did encounter black bears every day. They just walked past us on the sidewalks like we'd been neighbors for years. It was Wild!

The cabin was amazing! We had everything we needed and more. The only negative thing I have to say about the cabin is that the decks are open and there are often bears out there. The bears can easily come on your deck since it is not closed in. We will definitely be back!

Big Willow Retreat was the perfect cabin for our 8th grade basketball team. The three rooms with bunk beds was great for the boys and every other bedroom with private bath was ideal for the families. There are plenty of plates, utensils and every other accommodation you can think of. Each cabin has its own grill in front that is great for hamburgers and hot dogs after the games are played. The accommodations could not have been better.

Our team of volleyball players and parents loved this cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and so much fun! We would recommend this cabin to any large group that still want some privacy as all of the king suites had bathrooms in the room. That was a huge plus! And we loved all of the dining tables for group meals. Loved this cabin!

We had a group of over 30 there, and there was plenty of space. Everything was as listed, and the cabin was clean and even more spacious than it looks. It's a short walk to downtown, and Anakeesta. Highly recommend!

This property was perfect for our 35-member extended family—from the bedrooms with king-sized beds to the kitchen/living area. The pool table needs some repair but the amenities were great and we saw a mother bear and her 4 cubs each day. Also, loved being able to walk down the hill into town (1/2 mile).

We had a great stay in this cabin and it accomodated our whole golf group. The big windows in the living room allow for people on the porch to see into the Television and stay a part of what is going on inside. Kitchen well stocked, and plenty of beds. While we didn't spend too much time at the cabin, we would surely rent again!

The property is laid out very well for groups. We had 30 and it was very comfortable. One neat thing about the house is a bedroom on the main level floor had a wheelchair /handicap accessible OPEN shower…I didn’t know it until arriving but the two women I put in there definitely benefited. Also kitchen very well stocked and this was a blessing be a we cooked frequently in the house! Everything was very nice. The location is so easy….

overall it met our needs with the amount of rooms / beds and ample seating for meals and just enjoying company. the only issues we had was the crisper drawer face in kitchen refrigerator was off the drawer and laying on a shelf in the fridge. and not all the fan remotes had batteries in them or even back covers to keep the batteries in the tv remotes were the same way but these issues were not at all and hindrance to our good time. the house was huge / clean and great location from town.

Great location within walking distance of downtown. Staff was very accommodating and fast to respond we had a problem. House was a great, comfortable, big place for our large family reunion with so many things to do! I don’t think our Mrs Pac Man scores will ever be beaten though?

This place was great! Sleeps a ton of people and how pleased was I to see the kitchen was equipped to handle all of those people!

Walking distance to the aquarium end of Gatlinburg. Only con there steep uphill walk back. Young people and kids, no problem tho.

We saw bears 3 times during our stay. Right in the yard. Was amazing. Our entire family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the home.

24 family members from Buffalo,NY - Las Vegas NV - New Orleans, LA and Waverly Tennessee gathered for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration - everyone was thrilled with the accomodations! It was exactly as it was shown on the website! We stayed at the Big Willow Retreat which was absolutely wonderful! The neighborhood Bear was a real treat! She was a little curious but basically did not bother with us. However, there were some issues....The internet and TV's did not work very well and several of us were hacked, the Network and password I was emailed were either incorrect or simply did not work, we used the one on the router which worked but very intermittenly- also several electric outlets in kitchen did not work and there were no oven mitts. Also a complete list of kitchen utensils and cookware would have been useful so that we would not have to brought our own stuff. Overall we did truly enjoy the lodge and all 24 of us would defintely return to Gatlinburg and rent the lodges. The weather was perfect and there was an endless amount of activites to do there!

We recently traveled with a homeschool volleyball team to play in a tournament in Gatlinburg. This site had plenty of room for parents and players. The open spaces on each of the floors allowed for many gatherings for fellowship. The back porches were also very spacious. The kitchen/dining area was very roomy with ample prep space and eating space. We would love to stay again in the future.

Pictures do not do this house justice—it is so beautiful with spectacular views to match! The house was spotless with ultra-comfortable beds, pillows and blankets. The cabin is beautiful and well maintained. It is positioned very close to downtown which makes for an ideal walk since traffic can get bad downtown. The cabin was huge and can comfortably sleep a lot of people if needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

This home was great! Large, very clean, super comfy beds, perfect location. The only disappointment was the parking. For a house that sleeps 30+ people there are only 8 parking spots. It took us hours to find parking downtown. Other than that I would totally rent this again.

We had a group of 45...everything was really nice. There was enough space for everyone. The only issue that we had was parking when we first arrived, there were other guests parking in our reserved spots but management was very responsive and sent someone to rectify the concern immediately. Would definitely stay here again.

House was very clean , well maintained . Any issues were resolved right away . Would stay there again . My whole family really enjoyed our 11 day stay at this house. One thing to be aware of is there are Bears around we saw them near the house a few times .

We were a group of 44 with little children and teenagers. Saw a momma bear and 3 cubs our first day. The only thing we thought could use some attention is the shower in the first bedroom on main floor. The water runs out on the bathroom floor which could potentially be an accident. Love this place and already wanting to come back soon.

During a time of growing National angst , our group enjoyed a wonderful escape. The young guys hiked each. We all played games at night. The accommodations were amazing. Comfy beds. All you need in the kitchen!

We had a group of 37 people who stayed in this cabin. It was beautifully decorated. Little details were thought of (plenty of pillows and warm fuzzy blankets!). The space is laid out perfectly for groups to spread out or for everyone to gather together. We hope to return next year!

This is a great Cabin in an awesome location. The kids loved the log cabin room and did not want to leave. The kitchen pots and pans were stocked for huge meals. I would recommend!
