It's hard to believe that it is almost time for Christmas in the Smoky Mountains. It seems like only yesterday we were packing up the decorations in preparation for the warmer seasons. Nonetheless, we at Stony Brook Cabins could not be more excited to see the return of the area's beloved holiday lights! That is why we have put together a list of our favorite ways for our guests to experience the dazzling holiday magic of these stunning displays.
1. Check out a Smoky Mountain Attraction With Scenic Views
If you are looking to add a little excitement to your Christmas in the Smoky Mountains experience, you and your family should consider viewing the holiday lights from one of the many attractions with scenic views. Not only do these attractions give you and your loved ones something fun to do to pass the time, but they also give you an unparalleled vantage point for admiring the beautiful lights. You can visit the Gatlinburg Space Needle at night to see views of Gatlinburg lit up. If you're in Pigeon Forge one evening go catch a ride on the
Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. You'll see some beautiful views of Pigeon Forge and the lights.
2. Visit Anakeesta's Enchanted Winter Celebration
When the sun goes down in the Smokies, catch a ride on an
Anakeesta gondola, and see their holiday lights! You'll be surrounded by hundreds of gleaming Christmas lights. You can shop in Firefly Village which will be glowing with lights. Listen to music and sit by the fire at Black Bear Village. You can even see more lights when you explore the TreeTop Skywalk! The best part is seeing the lights comes with general admission!
